What Is This Place?

Created by the god Philemon, the Velvet Room is a place where the subconscious is represented in physical form. Whatever your perception of your own life may be, it shall be reflected in the furnishings of this room. For example, a Fool named Minato once stepped foot in this room, and it took the form of an elevator endlessly ascending. It moved upwards, as if scaling a tall tower over a long and strenuous year.Whatever you say your room shall be, then so, this place shall become.On Bluesky, the Velvet Room serves to gather all of those who have the power of a Persona. All users who attach #personarp or #velvetroom to their posts shall be added to this feed, giving each Persona user access to and awareness of each other. I, Igor, have used this realm to create social links between those who are searching.

The Contract

Acquiring a key to the Velvet Room mandates that you must comply with the laws of this place. As the soul is the most fragile part of the human existence, all must show respectful behavior as outlined below.- Please exemplify fairness in all interactions. Human souls are like to be irrational, and certain unrelated factors may impact a person's behavior. Ergo, drama can be curbed by showing compassion, but not eliminated outright. Favor support between your fellow Persona users over a personal victory.
- Should you spar, ensure that your partner is enjoying it as much as you are. Personas are very powerful, and some moreso than others. Know your strength, and use it wisely.
-Those without Personas are free to mingle with our guests. You are not obligated to have awakened to your inner self to become aware of Persona. However, you cannot see a Shadow, the manifestation of the darkness within the human heart, without a Persona. Exercise caution should you enter a place where Shadows lie.

Forbidden Conduct

As with all contracts, there are stipulations in place for those who wish to maintain their status as a guest. As the soul is the most fragile part of the human existence, all must show respectful behavior and avoid taking harmful actions, as outlined below. My master has forbidden the following conduct from the Velvet Room, for the safety of the guests and staff alike.- Adult sexual content is forbidden. Most of our guests are below the age of consent, and as such, the use of pornography or lewd descriptions of sexual situations is strictly prohibited within the Velvet Room.
- The laws of the country that you reside in take precedence, however for the sake of stability within the Velvet Room, the age of consent is defined as 18 years.
- Use of generative AI is prohibited. Do not create, use, or distribute art using generative AI within the Velvet Room.
- Do not repost images of art by independent creators without a source. Doing so robs them of their livelihood.My master has authorized the use of deadly force upon any who violate the rules. However, I believe merely ejecting violators will suffice.
